Methodology
How we work, and why you can check us.
Argent Public publishes from the public record only. Our work can be verified by anyone, line by line.
Our principles
- Everything is sourced. Every factual claim links to a public document — a decree, contract, report, financial statement, or official release.
- Everything is archived. For each source we provide a live link and an archived copy (Wayback Machine and/or archive.today), so the evidence survives even if the original page disappears.
- No speculation. We document what is. Where the record is incomplete, we say so explicitly rather than fill the gaps.
- Facts kept separate from analysis. Figures and quotations are presented as they stand. Any added context is clearly marked.
- Public corrections. Any error is corrected, dated, and explained in the corrections log.
How to read a dossier
Every dossier follows the same four-part structure:
- The question — what we set out to establish.
- The evidence — the public documents that answer it.
- The cost — what it means for public funds.
- The change sought — the decision or accountability expected.
